About THE PASSION FOR CHANGE: A feature length documentary profiling five Colorado democratic delegates during the historical 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado. These five delegates were interviewed two weeks before, during and two weeks after the convention; offering a unique perspective of the anticipation, the reality and the reflection of their roles and experiences as Democratic Delegates who helped to nominate the first African American to the United States Presidential Race.
The 2008 Democratic National Convention fell on the week of the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s speech ‘I have a dream…’, the 88th anniversary of women winning the right to vote and the 100th anniversary of the Democratic National Convention being held in Colorado. Combined with the celebration of these anniversaries the Democratic Party nominees for President of the United States were the first ever African American, Barack Obama, and the first female, Hillary Clinton.
“A great snapshot of that moment in history and the passion and excitement for democracy it incited.” Amanda Mountain, Rocky Mountain PBS
